Garment Care

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS

The kinder you are to your hand made garments, the longer they will last.

We highly recommend spot cleaning only when necessary, and the best way to do this is to dab a damp sponge onto the areas that need attention. A gentle wool wash product is always a good choice for this treatment.

You may need to wash the whole garment every three wears or so, and please treat the garments as fragile when you do this. A delicates or wool wash product is recommended. Or take your garment to the dry cleaner of course.

Please avoid fabric softeners as they damage fibres and shorten the lifespan of your clothes.
Air drying is best to retain the structural integrity, fit and shape of your garments. Please don’t use the tumble dryer.

When ironing, use a cotton cloth between the iron and the garment ( a large men’s handkerchief is perfect) and if possible, iron from the inside of the fabric as this helps prevent shine on the exterior of the garment.
